I powered up my laptop but it fails while attempting "Preparing Automatic Repair." It stops on a blue screen that shows "Your PC did not start correctly." I noted an error code of 0x80070017.
None of the following choices under Advanced Options solved my problem. This included System Restore (3 different restore points available but failed) and Startup Repair. I tried Startup Settings > Restart> Safe Mode but it STILL stops/fails at the same point and error code. Chkdsk/r didn't work in the C:\ prompt, either. I also tried "Reset this PC" (both Keep My Files and also Remove Everything) but these did not solve the problem.
Do I have any other options to repair this 18 month-old Windows 10 laptop?
Thanks in advance for any help!
