Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently got a new refurb, and over the last few days I've been getting Windows 10 up to its current version. After the 2018 Spring Creators Update ran (1803) I noticed that the lights on the Num lock and Mute buttons on the computer no longer light up. I can't be sure if it happened between when I upgraded to 1709 and 1803, or only happened after the 1803 update - since that was all done within a day of each other - but I have done multiple reboots since I completed the last set of updates.

I did a lot of research trying to find a solution, and am pretty sure the core of the problem is the HP System Event Utility. However I've also made sure I'm using the latest version of the HP System Event Utility for my laptop (1.40 Rev.A released Jul 17, 2017) and it has not resoved the issue.

Am I stuck this way unti lthe utlility is updated to cope with the 1803 changes to Windows?

Thanks for any help you can offer.
