I have a brand new HP Pavilion power series notebook, purchased recently.
The problem is, some kind of noise(somewhat static) is heard over headphones when the laptop is plugged in or charging. The noise completely goes away when the laptop is not plugged in.
The noise is present even if the audio is completely muted or no task is being done. The noise tends to increase when performing tasks like gaming or watching videos. Its almost impossible to use headphones while the power adapter is plugged in, due to the noise.
And when not plugged in, a periodic tone can be heard over headphones for every 2-3 seconds and its annoying.
Built in speakers are perfectly fine.
Windows, drivers, bios etc are updated to the latest.
I have tried 5 different headphones and the noise can be heard on all of them. Those headphones work fine on other systems.
Im in urgent need of a fix.
What must be the problem? Is there a solution?
