So I was upgrading my system with an PCIE to M2 card and decided to place it in slot 1 x8 (4). Card ran fine and fans ran as normal. Wanted to see if it would work fine in slot 4  x16. It worked however the fans didn't stop spinning at max rpm. I tried removing the card and it was still the same. Tried reseating the graphics cards, no luck. Of course everytime I would install the card or replace it, I had the system off.

Decided to update the BIOS

Old: 3.16

New: 3.94

No luck, now I'm getting a message when starting the computer "thermal sensor not programmed". Tried the recommended fix of unplugging the AC power and cycling the power. When that didn't work I decided maybe updating the ME firmware might help.

Old: 8.1.31.1351

New: 8.1.72.3002

The system fully boots it's just the fans never idle and the bios message prevents smooth reboots. Any ideas are welcomed.

System config:

Z820

E5-2670 x 2

128 ECC Ram
