First, thank you for any help you can give me.
My laptop was working just fine then all of a sudden it shut off. Now when I plug in the power cord the orange power light turns on then right off. Nothing else lights up and nothing blinks. I assumed this was an issue with the power cord not supplying enough power so I switched outlets and got the same result. I have a second power cord for another HP laptop(its the same) and tried that with the same results. So I am sure its not the outlet or the power cord. So what could cause the power indicator light to not stay on?
I have removed the battery and did a hard reset and it didnt help.
I tried plugging it in without the battery and it didnt help.
The battery does need to be replaced and will not hold a charge for long but that should not stop the PC from booting up.
The laptop is a HP notebook - [edit]
