Product: HP 510-p026
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP 510-p026 desktop has developed a constant loud buzz (not a humming sound!).  Of course, it's now out of warranty.

 

The goofy part is that the buzzing continues even if I unplug everything including the POWER CORD. I pulled the side panel and with it running, stopped both fans with a pencil eraser, then disconnected the HD and then tried the CD drive. The buzz didn't stop.  The only thing I couldn't isolate was the power unit, but I figured with no cord connected, why would that keep buzzing?

 

So far, it hasn't affected the running of the system, but the sound is enough to drive one batty. My wife can hear it when she's watching TV in the family room 60 feet away from my office. 

 

Anyone have a clue?
