Hi all!
Yesterday (Sept 10th 2019) my icon for HP support assistant in the start menu disappeared.
To reinstall it, I find it on the HP web: https://www8.hp.com/in/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_in/en/any/psg/p...
There I can download the installer "sp98862.exe". When unpacking the installer notes that several files already exist. I allow it to overwrite them. When the installer then starts to install the green progressbar only reaches about 1/20, then it says installed successfully.
I get an icon in my start menu, but nothings happens when I click it. If I click the desktop icon (which is a blank icon, but the text says "HP support assistant") I get an error message which says:
"Package failed updates, dependency or conflict validation"
I've tried to uninstall the software through the uninstall options in the control panel, and then reinstall. Same result.
Thankful for suggestions.
