After updating my laptop with the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 (KB4541335), the internal audio stopped working. I can use my headphones just fine, but the internal speaker itself is not working. At first I thought it was a problem with the sound, but after going into the device manager, I found out that the Speakers and Microphone Array were "not migrated".
I have tried various methods to fix this but nothing has worked so far.
1. I have tried the audio troubleshooter and nothing has changed
2. I tried disabling and then enabling both the speakers and microphone
3. I tried uninstalling and then re-installing both the speakers and microphone
4. I tried updating the BIOS and Audio driver
5. I tried the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Tool and for some reason I could hear the audio when the tests were playing, but not when I would use my browser.
6. I event tried doing a system reset to the day before I updated my laptop, but my speakers still aren't working.
I am running out of options and I would appreciate any and every advice to fix these speakers.
