Multiple times my laptop has shutdown. Upon restart, there is a system error message claiming overheating was detected. At that point, I can hit enter and computer runs smoothly again. This occurred at various times while using a cooling pad fan underneath the laptop and without using the extra external cooling. And each time the laptop itself did not feel extremely warm if at all. The only common factor seems to be is that the laptop was charging each time. Also, the laptop originally came with windows 10 s mode but switched it to 64 bit through the settings legitimately through the option there. However, it does not seem like this should relate to the overheating issue. In addition, I have run every test available in the HP support assistant, and no issues are found each time.
