I am at my wits end with this computer. For the life of me, I do not understand why HP even sells this thing. Let me first say, I LOVE this computer. I love the size, the keyboard...everything. What I DO NOT like is that I have a computer with a hard drive so small that Windows 10 takes up ALL the storage.
The last time I asked about this, I was told that I should be using "Cloud Storage" and "Office 365." Here is the thing...I am. I store everything on either a USB drive or One Drive. I also uses Office 365. BUT, in order to USE Office 365, you HAVE to download the program. You CANNOT simply go online and use it.
As of today, I have removed EVERY additional program I have downloaded but one on this thing. That one is necessary to operate my wireless card should our internet go out at home. I CANNOT delete it. I run Storage Sense almost every single day. Today, it told me it could find no more storage. I am wiping out my Download and Temp files daily.
Now, because my storage is so low, i can no longer see photo thumbnails. This is a HUGE problem as I need to see those to do my job.
I am the owner of an HP Mini 210.21 45DX. When I purchased this computer, it had a version of Windows that took up less space. I have never had a storage issue with that computer. My issue with that one is that the keyboard sucks (it is a replacement with weird keys in weird places).
I need to free up storage but I simply can't figure out what else to do. Oh...I do have Google Chrome because I can't stand Microsoft Edge...but the computer will not let me delete it. I have read that my answer is to return to factor settings and start over, but I REALLY do not want to do that...
HP...PLEASE...can you come up with SOME solution for those of us with the HP Stream. I am reading post after post of owners of this computer who are frustrated at the storage error messages. There HAS to be a solution.
