As many of us know, Conexant audio based chipset PCs around the world can't update to Windows 10 2004 nor 20H2 due to acknowledge issues in Conexant audio driver that needs to be fixed.
I'm two major Windows 10 version behind due to this issue and more than an year have passed. It seems to me incredible that Synaptic-Conexant is still silent about this issue, damaging OEM customers around the world.
Sooner or later Microsoft will drop support for Windows 10 ver 1909. I can understand that an issue needs troubleshooting...but when it's an acknowledged one like this, one should ask if Synaptic-Conexant has interest in supporting their audio business. Keeping silent on a widespread customer base impacted is IMHO a proof that the audio chipset business has no more support from Synaptic-Conexat.
I hope that HP, as well as other OEMs, will keep pressing Conexant-Synaptic to fix this issue ASAP. After 12 months a time frame for the fix is more that needed.
After this bad experience I will stay away from manufacturers that use Synaptic hardware of any kind.
Wish you a wonderful 2021
