Product: HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-bq1xx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Recently needed to change the battery. CMOS ended up resetting BIOS to default values. Was unable to login into the BIOS to change from UEFI mode to Legacy mode and re-enable virtualization.
Have a system disabled code now after three failed password attempts. "Older" solutions no longer work on the new BIOS F.22.
Code is in this format:
A [XXXXXXXX]
Was unable to find a link to any support services besides the virtual assistant and the address of a support center (that no longer exists). Obviously, product is out of warranty but considering a recently released BIOS version has effectively disabled the laptop.
