Dear HP,

 

For a while now, when performing Windows updates, arbitrary HP Inc. - Software Component  driver updates keep showing up under Optional Updates. The desicription above it always says "if you have a specific problem, one of these drivers might help." But when I do a google search for the HP Software Component & version, rarely does anything come up for these ghost drivers, at all.

 

How do I know if I need to install an HP Software Component driver update for my HP laptop if it doesn't say - and I can't find, what the optional driver update is for?

 

How can HP customers find information on the different HP Inc. Software Component drivers Windows Updates routinely lists?
