So I am trying to add a second external monitor to my HP Notebook - 15-bs013dx and am having a problem. I was already using a small tv as a second monitor connected via the installed HDMI port with no problems. I decided I wanted to add a third monitor and since there is only one video port, I purchased an usb-a to VGA adapter from Amazon to utilize an older flat monitor I had laying around. The adapter and monitor work fine as long as the HDMI cable is not plugged in, but as soon as I plug it in, the monitor with the adapter freezes on a screen shot of whatever was being displayed at the time. The graphics card is rated for three monitors, and the display properties show all three monitors as if everything is working properly. Any ideas?
