I had recently purchased a Elitedesk 800 G4, it was a i7 and I was quite ecstatic a the price. Quite unbenownest to me was the fact that it comes shorn of many simple hardware which is commonly available in most laptops, Desktops and MiniPCs (like the Intel NUC). I learnt it doesnt have a Wifi or Bluetooth and also didnt have USB C or HDMI ports. Luckily I had a Bluetooth dongle and My router was close enough to run a cable. But Not having HDMI was a bummer. My monitor which I wanted to share with my office PC, only has HDMI inputs, no Display port and no VGA. Dont understand why they would add 2 Display ports but no HDMI. Anyways, I found one seller in ebay selling refurbished USB C type cards and such
The card that they are selling is:
1. HP Type-C USB 3.1 Gen2 Port Flex I/O Option Card L54681-002 3TK79AT 3TK79AA
2. HP NEW 3TK79AT 3TK79AA Data Connector Type-C USB 3.1 G2 PD Flex IO L25754-001 (maybe the same as above)
My question is will they be compatible with my Box. Will they need additional cables to connect to MB for data or power?
Is there a way to add a HDMI port without a Graphics cad?
