Hi, this could be a harware issue but my less than one week old computer has started giving me SMART events "One of Your Disks is at Risk" in the notifications that seems to be regarding Intel Optane. However, I don't think this pc has the optane feature. This is my laptop specs page. https://support.hp.com/id-en/document/c07699893
The alert's more info link brings me to this software driver page Support for Intel® Optane™ Memory with a list of drivers. The first one showing the download button for a driver for Intel Storage and Memory Tool.
I have run HP's support assistant and it says that I have all updates and drivers. Hmmm? I would think if I needed an additional driver HP Support agent would tell me.
So I am a bit confused.... do I need to install that Intel driver? Do I actually have the optane feature on this PC or does this update have nothing to do with optane?
Does this mean something is wrong with my hard drive or is it just a normal update that HP Support agent can't tell me is needed?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Also, if I ever have to contact HP support what is the best method?
Thank you for your help!
