Today, my laptop wont cut on. Even when it’s plugged in, it won’t charge. I’ve tried different power cords and different outlets so I know it’s not the cord. But then I remembered I used to get messages on my computer during startup.
I received a CMOS reset (502) message about a month ago when my computer would boot up. It kept saying “the CMOS checksum is invalid. The CMOS will be reset to the default configuration and be rebooted. Please check your BIOS set up options to see if they change.” I thought nothing of it and continued to use my computer.
After that, my laptop would not power off normally by selecting shut down in the menu. I had to press the power off button and hold it to cut it off. I also noticed my camera driver was missing and I couldn’t take any photos or videos on my laptop.
Moral of the story, my laptop will now not cut on, a student and need it everyday. I don’t know what to do. Thank you for the help!
