There are 2 other threads across the years reporting the same problem; none have been resolved.

I cannot adjust the sampling rate for the audio output of my device. Note that this was working sometime in February; presumably some sort of windows update or driver update broke this.  In all versions of the 'edit audio device properties' menu, the advanced tab has only 2 options: 1 channel, 16-bit  48,000Hz (DVD Quality), and 2 channels, 16-bit 48,000Hz (DVD Quality).

Things I've tried:

- Downloading and reinstalling the realtek driver from the realtek site directly: https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/category/pc-audio-codecs-high-definition-audio-codecs-softw...

Note that this download hasn't been updated in 4 years, since 2017.  This process does not actually change the driver setting; every restart of windows reverts the changes to RealTek driver version 6.0.9191.1.

- In Device manager, selecting the Realtek device and updating the driver to the generic microsoft 'High Definition Audio Device' Microsoft Driver version 10.0.22000.1

- Using the HP service to get the recommended drivers. There are currently 0 audio drivers recommended on the HP driver updater tool for version Windows 11. For windows 10, there is realtek driver version 6.0.9191.1, which does not allow changing the sample rate or bit depth.

How can I select a modern High Definition audio output sampling rate via my headphone jack with an HP Envy? I want to use 192,000Hz sampling to hear the full dynamics on my home stereo system. My cell phone and my 9 year old Lenovo laptops currently output much higher audio quality than this device.
