Hi,
I have an HP ProDesk 600 G1 Base Model Tower PC that's having audio issues. it's currently running Realtek HD Audio driver ver 6.0.1.8328 dated 12/19/17. The problem is that after a fews days after reboot, the audio begins to sound like a skipping record. It happens from any audio connector and doesn't matter what source I use (streaming, hard drive, thumb drive, etc.), Removing and re-installing the driver doesn't have an impact. It seems to clear up after a reboot, but the "skipping" re-emerges after a few days. No additional hardware or software has been installed recently for at least two years. I'm hoping that it's not an audio chip issue as this is built-in on the motherboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
