Product: HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ee1000 (2E2K9AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
Hello my hp envy x360 model has a fingerprint scanner next to the alt key but it isn't being detected by windows hello or other websites.
Here are some of the things I've tried:
- Hard resetting my laptop. Installed windows 11 through the internet. Cleaned the disk.
- After that Downloaded all windows updates including optional ones
- I Used hp support assistant app for some updates
- Went to hp's website to download the provided drivers https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-x360-15.6-inch-2-in-1-laptop-pc-15-ee1000/3... I installed all of them and the fingerprint driver by running the .exe but the ELAN fingerprint sensor wouldn't show up in device manager from what I can see, and none are in hidden devices and there are no biometrics folder. So I don't know if the fingerprint driver has another name in device manager or if I'm maybe installing the wrong model.
I don't have the option to rollback to windows 10 in windows recovery.
My model has the Ryzen 5500u processor with AMD graphics.
I'd like to know if anyone is experiencing similar difficulties now, and/or if anyone has some potential solutions.
