ok folks here we go.... how to find out the version of the OS from a serial number. I've been trying to figure out how to fix the mistake from a roommate that thought she could fix the computer but ended up canceling or almost canceled out the OS. Luckily she did back it up but it seems that there are things missing so the restore, or booting the system, or recovery is not working. Please direct me on what I got to do. First I would love to find out what version of windows 10 that was already on the laptop and what files or OSI that I need to look for because im at the "Select the location of the backup for the computer you want to restore". What I see now is im on system32 but it looks like all the files are on the computer still. does this mean that a boot is corrupted or what??? Here is the information I have on this laptop
