Microsoft Windows 11

Hi Community,

I would like to tell you about a problem we are facing with a brand-new laptop (HP ProBook 455 G9 R5 5625U 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM)

The laptop is incredibly slow. We did a fresh installation of Windows 11 (MS creation tool) and the installation took about 4 hours!

We are HP partners since about 10 years and we have installed hundreds or even thousands of HP laptops and desktop PCs. The process of installing a new windows system takes usually about half an hour. As I said with this laptop it took about 4 hours! Once windows has been installed everything is of course still super slow. E.g. opening windows explorer, installing updates or additional software such as a browser. Horribly slow!

Therefore, we contacted the HP support to tell about the problem and the support told us to run several system diagnostic tools in order to find the hardware problem. However, the tools didn’t find any problem and we never got any error number or error messages from the tools.

Conclusion of the HP support is that because the tools can’t find any problem everything must be OK with the device. Sorry, but this is so ridiculous. It is not our fault if the stupid tools can’t find the cause.

If it takes 4 hours to freshly install a standard windows there must be something wrong with the device!

Really don’t know what to do anymore because HP refuses to take the laptop back or simply replace it with a new device.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance
