I have a working laptop, Elitebook Aero.

And virtually can not use it for teleconferencing. Every time I plug in the headset, the mic appears disabled.

Headphones work, microphone is operational BUT disabled.

When I take the quest and go to

Settings

 ->Sound

  ->Input

   ->Device Properties

    ->Additional Device Properties

     ->Levels-Microphone,

finally I see the mic volume turned "off".

Enable it there, and that fixes the problem.

BUT I CAN NOT DO IT EVERY TIME, when plugging in the phone.

Particularly when getting an urgent COM request, or joining an online meeting.

First I thought that the reason is in new fgancy USB-C. But I had to buy a new 3.5mm Sennheiser headset to find that it is systematic, with any microphone.

Is this a business laptop at all?

Whats wrong with your drivers!? Why is it happening only with HP!?
