Recently, I have been having issues with my touch pad and mouse. When I open my computer, I am able to use the touchpad and mouse for a while, but then the buttons stop working and I can't click on anything, especially if I leave the computer for a few minutes and come back. I am still able to move the cursor or scroll up and down the screen I am on, but I am unable to close, minimize, or open any other windows, programs, or anything. I changed the battery in my mouse, but the problem affects the touchpad also. I ran diagnostics which said both are fine. I reinstalled the drivers, but it hasn't made any difference, in fact it may have even got a little worst. Is there something I am not doing? Perhaps a setting that might have changed that I am unaware of? I have checked the settings and everything seems normal. The only way I can get function back for a time is by clicking ctrl/alt/delete and opening then closing task manager. Then functionality returns, but only for a short time. Please help!!
