Product: HP EliteBook 840 14 inch G10 Notebook PC (6V5Y9AV)
Today, my HP Support Assistant started reporting an issue with the battery out of nowhere. It says the battery needs replacement. See attached images for the exact errors. This laptop is less than 2 months old.
Strangely, the battery check only results in this error when the laptop is connected to the docking station. The laptop is still able to run on battery power, and when it is, the battery check returns back to ‘normal’ result.
So I’m not blocked or anything, just asking if I should contact HP support to investigate, or maybe this is already a known issue and hopefully a false positive.
Cheers,
Benji
