HP Recommended

I bought a HP M120 mouse today and it has 4 buttons if I exclude the Scroll and DPI.
I am looking to customize the Up and Down button for Copy and Paste. Please share how to customize as there is no user guide available.

 

Also, 1 weird thing is that when I try to input the Serial Number of my mouse on the https://hp.com/support website, I doesn't recognize it. I have a 7 day return policy and I just got this, so if this is a fake HP product, do let me know fast. I am going to sue amazon and the retailer both.
