I installed Windows 11 the day it came out back in October. Since then, I have been getting bad audio static and loud crackling from my laptop speakers and any wired headphones connected to the audio jack. I've done numerous driver updates, windows reinstalls, and turned off features such as Enhanced Audio Effects in both the regular windows settings and control panel. No difference at all.
Here is more information about my issue:
- A couple years before Windows 11 was released, my laptop suffered from an audio decrease issue on windows 10. It was later fixed by a driver update.
-The static can sometimes start randomly. The sound can also be compared to a crackling noise.
-It gets progressively worse overtime starting with no static/crackling at all.
-I haven't tested if this issue persists on windows 10 (and no I'm not going back to 10, I'm staying on 11).
-This issue does not occur when listening to audio from a wireless Bluetooth device (such as Airpods).
- After continued use of the speaker, the audio quality becomes worse and is very distorted.
