Hi,

I'm locked out of my HP ProBook 440 Business Laptop after two months trip from another country because I forgot Windows 10 password. Unfortunately, there is no password reset disk made in advanced. I don't sign in any Microsoft account on this laptop so I can confirm it is a local account.

 

I really need a safe way to reset Windows 10 password without losing my data. What’s the best method to do that in 2025? I’m open to using a bootable USB or recovery tool if needed. I just want to make sure my files stay intact.

 

Any step-by-step guidance or reliable tools would be greatly appreciated!
