Turn OFF Projector?

Is there a way within the 5.2 scan software to turn OFF the projector or blacken it's image so that the projector cools down when not in use?

I could turn the projector OFF with the button, but it is difficult to see/navigate the projector menu options when the projector is not projecting on a flat, projection screen.  Should I turn the 'Extended' desktop setting OFF in order to cool down the projector?

I found the 'Projector Brightness' slider... looks like turning this down to 0 is the best way to cool off the projector.

(It would be nice to have a one-click 'go into Standby' mode or something... but the slider works well).

By the way, when I was investigating the settings of the projector (to see if they were set properly... they were), I saw there was a high altitude setting.  I turned this ON as I am at 9500 feet elevation.  I'm guessing at high altitude, it's harder to cool the projector.  With this setting ON, the projector fans run full speed.
