USB Key Corrupt - License status: No license file found

HP Recommended
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I tried to start the David Scanner software with USB dongle plugged in. I get a message indicating no license file found. When I check the dongle I get a message stating that its unaccessible and is either corrupt or unreadable. Any advice? Assistance would be most appreciated.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
  • Could you please share the picture of the error message?

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for getting back to me.

The product number of my device is Y8C52AA#ABA.

Attached are screen grabs of the messages I get. Do you need anything else from me?

Again, I appreciate you getting back to me to help me resolve this issue.
