Hi Nikhil3725

yes, gaming laptops tend to consume a lot of power, especially when the GPU is active. Here are some ways to improve battery life:

  • Power mode: Set your power plan to "Battery saver" when you're not gaming.

  • Screen brightness: Lower the brightness when working on tasks that don't require high visibility.

  • Close background programs: Some apps drain the battery even when you're not using them. Close them from the Task Manager.

  • Update drivers: Keep your GPU and system drivers up to date for optimized power consumption.

  • Disable the dedicated GPU when not needed: If you're just browsing or watching videos, use the integrated GPU instead of the RTX.

  • Use Eco Mode in the GPU software: NVIDIA has settings to reduce power usage when maximum performance isn’t required.

If you notice the battery draining way too fast (less than expected), check Windows settings for apps with abnormal power consumption. You can also check battery health with commands like powercfg /batteryreport in the command prompt.

I hope the above is helpful!
