This is a recurring problem. How can this be resolved?

Hi GiginTC

Because this issue is recurring, it typically points to a loose connection, corrupted boot files, wrong BIOS boot order/settings, or a failing storage drive (SSD or HDD).

Start with the quick, non-invasive troubleshooting steps below.

1.Perform a Hard Reset:Prerequisite.

Turn off the computer completely. Disconnect all external devices (USB flash drives, external hard drives, SD cards) and the charger. Hold down the power button for 15 seconds, then reconnect power and turn it back on.

Verification: Check if the computer boots normally into your operating system without showing the error.

2.Reset BIOS Settings to Default:2 minutes.

Power on your system and immediately tap the BIOS key repeatedly (F10 for HP, F2 or Del for Dell/Asus/others) until the BIOS menu appears. Find the option to Restore Defaults or Load Setup Defaults (usually F9), select it, then Save and Exit (F10).

Verification: Observe whether the system successfully detects the internal drive and boots into Windows.

3.Check Boot Order and Mode:2 minutes.

Re-enter BIOS settings. Navigate to the Boot Options or Boot Priority tab. Ensure your main internal SSD/HDD is set as Boot Option #1. If available, check that Boot Mode matches your OS configuration (usually UEFI; if Legacy/CSM is enabled, try switching to UEFI or vice versa). Save and exit.

Verification: Verify whether the error screen is bypassed upon restart.

4.Run Hardware Diagnostic Test:5-10 minutes.

Turn on the PC and immediately tap F2 (HP), F12 (Dell), or Esc to enter the boot/diagnostics menu. Run the built-in Hard Drive / Storage Diagnostic Test.

Verification: Check if the diagnostic passes or returns an error code (such as "Hard Drive Not Installed" or "Smart Check Failed").

I hope the above is helpful
