I had an issue with a firmware upgrade and one of the solutions was to download the latest version of HP Support Assistant.  I am confused, when I go to HP website, it says the latest version of HPSA is Version 9.39.17.0.  So why is my installed version showing 9.41.29.0?

Hi @djofsv, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The reason your installed HP Support Assistant (HPSA) version (9.41.29.0) is newer than the one listed on HP website (9.39.17.0) is that HPSA updates automatically in the background. HP often releases incremental updates through the app itself before updating the official download page.

If your version is working fine, there’s no need to downgrade.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
