Hi @Caleb-kipkorir,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The "Hard Disk Error 3F0 boot device not found" message indicates that the system is unable to detect the boot device. Here are the steps to resolve the error:

Restore BIOS Default Settings

Turn off the computer: Wait for five seconds before proceeding.

Access BIOS Setup: Turn on the computer and repeatedly press the F10 key to enter the BIOS setup menu.

Load Default Settings: On the BIOS Setup screen, press F9 to select and load the BIOS Setup Default settings.

Save Changes: Press F10 to Save and Exit. Use the arrow keys to select Yes, and then press Enter when asked Exit Saving Changes?

Restart: Follow the prompts to restart your computer.

Perform Hard Drive Tests

Open Symptom Tests: Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, then press F2.

Select Hard Drive Test: In the Symptom Tests menu, select Hard disk/SSD drive issue, and then press enter. If more than one drive is present, select Test All Hard Drives.

Reinstall Windows

Reinstall Windows through the Windows Recovery Environment (f11) or using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool. After reinstalling Windows, run Windows Update to update all software, firmware, and drivers.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.
