Hi @Asdf889

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for sharing the product details. We understand you are experiencing both a battery issue and a keyboard issue with your HP Pavilion Laptop 14-dv1002TU.

To better understand the situation and provide the most relevant guidance, could you please share a few additional details?

Regarding the battery issue:

  • Is the battery not charging, charging slowly, or draining quickly?
  • Does the battery icon show "Plugged in, not charging" or any error message?
  • Approximately how long does the battery last on a full charge?
  • Have you already run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Battery Test? If yes, what was the result?

Regarding the keyboard issue:

  • Are all keys affected or only specific keys?
  • Is the keyboard completely unresponsive, typing incorrect characters, or experiencing intermittent behavior?
  • Does the issue occur in Windows, BIOS, or both?
  • Have you tried using an external USB keyboard, and does it work normally?

Additional information:

  • Which Windows version is installed (Windows 10 or Windows 11)?
  • Did the issues begin after any update, software installation, or physical impact?
  • Have you already performed any troubleshooting steps? If yes, please let us know what has been completed.

Once we have these details, we can provide focused troubleshooting guidance for both the battery and keyboard concerns while avoiding unnecessary steps.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye

Hi @5CD1514BSG

Thank you for getting back to us.

As this is a public community forum, there is no option for us to arrange or request a callback. However, we'll be glad to help troubleshoot the issue here.

To help us understand the situation better, please share a few additional details:

Keyboard issue

  • Are all keys affected, or only certain keys?
  • Is the keyboard not responding at all, typing incorrect characters, or working intermittently?
  • Does the issue occur within Windows only, or also in the BIOS?
  • If available, does an external USB keyboard work normally?

Battery issue

  • Is the battery not charging, charging slowly, or draining quickly?
  • Do you see any message such as "Plugged in, not charging"?
  • Approximately how long does the battery last on a full charge?
  • Have you run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Battery Test? If yes, what was the result?

Additional information

  • Which Windows version are you using?
  • Did these issues start after a Windows update, software change, or any physical impact?
  • What troubleshooting steps have you already tried?

Once you share these details, we'll provide focused troubleshooting steps for both concerns.
