Hello, I have a brand-new HP 15-FC0863AU Natural Silver with 8GB RAM. I want to upgrade it to 16GB. Can your HP technicians supply and install compatible RAM? How much is the total cost, including parts and labor? Will the upgrade affect my remaining manufacturer's warranty?

The parts list for your model indicates it has 1x8 GB DDR4-3200 memory and Ryzen 5 7350U processor.

 

The service manual (on page 2) states that your model supports 16 GB (2x8 GB) RAM. You can install another 8 GB DDR4-3200 memory in an empty second slot.

Maintenance and Service Guide

 

HP doesn't do a hardware components upgrade for your notebook.

 

If your notebook is still under warranty, click the link below and select your country to find HP authorized service centers. Contact them to see if they upgrade the memory for you (also get a price quote).
