I am currently running Windows 11 Pro version 26200.6901 on my HP Omnibook AI laptop, which features a 2K H display. I’ve observed a significant performance difference between the Adreno graphics driver version 31.0.91.0 provided by HP through Windows Update and the newer version 31.0.121.1 available directly from Qualcomm.
With the 31.0.121.1 driver:
• HDR streaming is properly detected and enabled on platforms like YouTube, which does not occur with the 31.0.91.0 version.
• Overall system fluidity is noticeably improved, especially in UI responsiveness.
• AI-powered tasks such as photo processing are faster and more efficient.
These enhancements are critical for users leveraging Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon X plus  processors. I’m curious why HP has not yet made this updated driver available through Windows Update, given its clear benefits in performance and compatibility.
I kindly urge HP to consider distributing the 31.0.121.1 driver through official channels to ensure users receive the best possible experience on premium devices like the Omnibook AI.
Best regards,

Hi @christian1789,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for raising this important and well-articulated concern. Your experience with the HP Omnibook AI laptop and the Snapdragon X Plus processor highlights a real-world gap between hardware potential and driver support, and you’re right to expect more from a premium Copilot+ PC.

Why the Qualcomm Driver (31.0.121.1) Matters

Your observations are spot-on:

  • HDR streaming works flawlessly on YouTube.
  • System fluidity and UI responsiveness are noticeably better.
  • AI-powered tasks like photo processing are faster and more efficient.

These improvements are not just technical, they’re experiential. They make your laptop feel alive, responsive, and capable of keeping up with your creative and professional demands.

What You Can Do Right Now

You’ve already installed the Qualcomm driver manually, which is great. For others who want to try it, here’s the official Qualcomm link:

And here’s Qualcomm’s blog post detailing the improvements:
