HP Victus 16-s0095AX (8R1E6PA)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I own an HP Victus 16-s0095AX (product number 8R1E6PA) with a KIOXIA KBG50ZNV512G 512 GB PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD.

Could you please confirm whether I can replace it with a WD_BLACK SN7100 2TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 NVMe SSD?

I understand that the published specifications list storage options up to 1 TB. I would like to know whether a 2 TB SSD is compatible with my exact laptop configuration, including its physical dimensions and storage capacity support.

Thank you.

@Hemanth_27,

The service manual (on page 2) indicates that up to 1 TB NVMe SSDs are supported, but this doesn't mean that 1 TB is the max size supported for 16-s0000 series.

M.2 NVMe SSDs have no capacity limits. You can even install a 4 TB.

The current 512 GB SSD's form factor is M.2 2280.

A 2 TB WD Black SN7100 should work.

This HP disassembly video shows how to replace an M.2 SSD (clip at 6:36).
