Screen flickering issue, bottom screen flickers

My hp victus screen ,the bottom of the screen to above the average taskbar length flickers with lines showing on the portion ,black lines . I have tried the driver diagnostics , updated the intel driver , even in the bios the screen flickers . I tried connecting it to an external monitor, the screen didn't show any flicker in the monitor while continuing filtering on the laptop screen , I even took a screenshot shot of my laptop screen but in the monitor it showed the picture perfectly without any flicker. The bottom portion only flickers not the whole screen but some repair shop guyz are saying to replace the whole screen costing around 7 thousand rupees and hp service didn't connect any agent on the call for me to ask about this query and official hp serviceman. Suggest me what should I do . I heard about the e2 cables and connection problems that they might be the issue but I'm not able to confirm it ..suggest me what to do , best course plan for a quick and relatively budget friendly option

Never trust a local shop, only some well know shops are trusted. In the past, my neighbour saved  Rs20,000 by not trusting a local repair shop; later he got his issue fixed by paying only Rs500 because he trusted me instead. The fault was in the charger, but the local shop insisted it was the motherboard. For your issue, I strongly suspect it's the display cable and display cable price is not expensive, it's reasonable. Now to confirm its cable or panel and If you want to get it fixed then best option is visiting an authorized HP service center. Certified technicians can provide a thorough diagnosis and offer the best solutions to address the issue.

Call before visit, ask for required documents, etc especially if not under warranty. Also take video of laptop condition in service center before providing them.

Thankyou for your reply , it was very encouraging. What might be the odds of the problem being the display cable , because the flicker size has increased a bit today as compared to yesterday around a inche more , this has happened before with the laptop however on switching off the laptop for some time and starting it again after 5-6 hours the issue disappeared, I knew it was a bit of problem but I ignored it as a one time thing but this time even after switching it off for a while the problem still remained . As it was Sunday the hp service , customer care or any hp agent/ expert didn't receive my call. I'm a bit worried now since if it's a screen problem it might cause a hefty amount. How likely is that I won't have to replace the screen just the cables , also I'm presently in kurukshetra Haryana and here it shows just a hp seller types shop as the service centre , will they be able to solve my problem also how long would it take to fix this issue and how much cost can I expect it to be

Keep laptop lid open in one place. Only close when traveling with it. This will avoid getting it worst. It's Sunday, so call Tommorow. As for shop, if it is shown in the link I provided you then it can likely help in your case. if those flickering or lines changes with lid movement, the cable/hinge area becomes more likely.  Display cable / hinge-side cable issue: roughly ₹2,000 to ₹6,000. For screen, it is bit more. 

About repair time, it is usually same day to a few hours if the part is already in stock and it’s just a straightforward screen or cable job.

Only authorised hp service center can tell exactly cause and price. Also, remember what I said above about taking video in service center

please help me out theres was no as such lid in different angle problem , after taking your advice i opened the laptop backside and took out the display cable cleaned it and connected it again ensuring no loose ends but it still flickered so then next day i took it to the repair shop, (authorized hp service center it showed on hp website as one he told me that they would do servicing(800 rupees) if issue is resolved , then its good otherwise i would have to get the screen replaced ). the repair guy took a look at the screen and told me this was a display issue , he said that there's a same issue laptop currently with the display issue only so i have to get the display replaced . he asked me for 7200 rupees to get the display replaced(144 hz display , i dont know the warranty for the display didnt talk about that) , i gave him 2500 currently as prebooking and he told me to come tomorrow to get display changed but when i came i thought might as well use laptop since i am going to get the display changed anyways so im not 100 % sure whether the same issue was there but more likely the screen still flickered after switching the laptop on but after some time i noticed that screen had stopped flickering altogether i even refreshed it , then it showed update and restart , i did that and still there was no flickering issue

what should i do now should i cancel the display replacement and what should i do to ensure this problem dosent arise again
the money is refundable , laptop has been working fine for 3-4 hours now , i have opened multiple tabs and worked on them till now no issue came
i might be going tomorrow to might as well get the refund , what should i do ask him to do service for 800 rupees and hopefully if theres some issue apart from just plucking cable and putting it back again thus getting the issue resolved or something else

Yes, cancel the display replacement for now and request the ₹2,500 refund. Since the flickering stopped and the money is refundable. If the flickering returns, take it back to the service centre.
