Hi @Lorlen

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you are facing issues with your Windows key isn't working on your laptop, here are some troubleshooting steps to fix it:

1. Restart Windows Explorer

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
  • Find Windows Explorer, right-click it, and select Restart.
  • Check if the Windows key starts working.

2. Disable Game Mode

  • Open Settings (Win + I).
  • Go to Gaming > Game Mode.
  • Turn Game Mode off, as it can sometimes disable the Windows key.

3. Check Keyboard Drivers

  • Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
  • Expand Keyboards, right-click your keyboard, and select Update driver.
  • Restart your laptop after updating.

4. Use Windows Troubleshooter

  • Open Settings (Win + I).
  • Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  • Run the Keyboard troubleshooter.

5. Try an External Keyboard

  • If an external keyboard works fine, the issue might be hardware-related.
  • If not, it's likely a software issue.

Let me know if you need further help!

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
