fix/patch catalog

is  there a catalog of hp  fixes   ---  files that start with "sp" that describes what the fix is for?

Unfortunately no such index/catalog exists.

To complicate matters, HP has removed public access to their FTP sites, so it makes it very difficult to even look up a Softpaq (sp) file number.

Do you have a specific Softpaq file number you would like information on?

There may be a way to provide some details on that, but it will take some doing.

This is  very old pc   this  folder is in the c:\swsetup directory and   it is dated 6/11/2025 --- the day after patch tuesday ----  I can't find info in windows  update  history  --- not sure want it update -- thanks

That file is for the HP support assistant software.

Your PC is indeed very old and I would be surprised if that version (9.39.17.0) would work on your laptop.

thanks for the info --- yes  --- it is very old ---  it started with vista then win7 and now win10 -- I will retire it  in oct when win10 is EOL  --- thanks
