hp hardware dignostic is doing this when i run disk read verify, before this i turned of bitlocker encrytpion and decrytped it and used third party software to divide and merge the disk space but i have deleted it now.
I used AOMEI software for disk partition and before that I tried software named Easeus and it actually turned of Bitlocker encryption and also decrypted(It is what it was showing).

It sounds like the HP Hardware Diagnostics tool is crashing when running a Disk Read Verify test, which could be related to the recent disk partition changes and BitLocker decryption. Here’s what you can do to troubleshoot.
Check Disk Health (Manually)
- Open Command Prompt (Admin) and run:
chkdsk /f /r - It may ask to schedule the scan on reboot—type Y and restart.
Check for Disk Errors in Windows
- Open File Explorer → Right-click the main drive (C:) → Properties.
- Go to Tools → Click Check under Error Checking.
Reinstall HP Hardware Diagnostics
- If the tool crashes, it might be corrupted. Reinstall it from HP’s official website.
Run S.M.A.R.T Check
- Open Command Prompt (Admin) and type:
wmic diskdrive get status - If it shows anything other than OK, the disk might have issues.
Test the Drive in BIOS Diagnostics
- Restart your laptop and press F2 repeatedly to enter HP Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI).
- Run the System Tests → Hard Drive Test from the BIOS.
Reset Windows Disk Management
- Open Disk Management (Win + X → Disk Management).
- Check if the partitions are set correctly.
- If any partition is labeled as "RAW" or "Unallocated," you may need to format or repair it.
Check for Corrupted System Files
- Run SFC and DISM scans:
sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Check Event Viewer Logs
- Open Event Viewer (Win + X → Event Viewer).
- Look under Windows Logs > System for any disk-related errors.
