If I CUSTOMIZE a computer at HP.com or Dell.com, and then "share" the customization with a friend, the email that is sent should not only display the customized parts, but when my friend clicks on the website link, it should GO TO THE CUSTOMIZED VERSION of the computer. Currently it does NOT. It goes goes to the generic uncustomized version of the PC. So they have to try to re-customize, which they don't have the skills to do.

@dgrrr1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding a link issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Here are a few steps you could try to ensure the link is accurate:
Ensure Completion of Customization: Before sharing, make sure you finalize all components and configurations. Look for an option that allows you to save or review the complete configuration.
Use the Official Share Option: Make sure you're using the designated share feature provided by the website, rather than copying and pasting the URL from a regular browser view. Websites usually encode the customization details within the unique sharing link.
Verify Email and Links: Sometimes, the email format can affect how links are presented. Ensure your email client is not altering the link format.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
