Hi @UmarArshad,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Pavilion x360 14-inch laptop isn't detecting the camera, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Check if the Camera is Disabled
- Press Fn + F8 (or the function key with a camera icon) to enable/disable the camera.
- If your laptop has a physical privacy shutter, make sure it's open.
Verify Camera in Device Manager
- Press Win + X → Select Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
- If you see a disabled camera, right-click and select Enable.
- If there’s a yellow warning sign, right-click and select Update Driver → Search automatically.
- If the camera isn't listed, go to Action → Scan for hardware changes.
Check Camera Settings
- Go to Settings → Privacy & security → Camera.
- Ensure Camera access is turned ON for apps and Windows.
Run the Camera Troubleshooter
- Open Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot → Additional troubleshooters.
- Select Camera → Run the troubleshooter.
Reinstall the Camera Driver
- In Device Manager, right-click the camera and select Uninstall device.
- Restart your laptop → Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
- If not, go to HP’s support website and download the latest camera driver.
Check for Windows Updates
- Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates.
BIOS Check (If Needed)
- Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (F10 on startup).
- Look for camera settings and ensure it's enabled
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
