Hi @UmarArshad,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Pavilion x360 14-inch laptop isn't detecting the camera, follow these troubleshooting steps:

Check if the Camera is Disabled

  • Press Fn + F8 (or the function key with a camera icon) to enable/disable the camera.
  • If your laptop has a physical privacy shutter, make sure it's open.

 Verify Camera in Device Manager

  1. Press Win + X → Select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Imaging Devices or Cameras.
    • If you see a disabled camera, right-click and select Enable.
    • If there’s a yellow warning sign, right-click and select Update DriverSearch automatically.
    • If the camera isn't listed, go to ActionScan for hardware changes.

Check Camera Settings

  1. Go to SettingsPrivacy & securityCamera.
  2. Ensure Camera access is turned ON for apps and Windows.

 Run the Camera Troubleshooter

  1. Open SettingsUpdate & SecurityTroubleshootAdditional troubleshooters.
  2. Select CameraRun the troubleshooter.

Reinstall the Camera Driver

  1. In Device Manager, right-click the camera and select Uninstall device.
  2. Restart your laptop → Windows should reinstall the driver automatically.
  3. If not, go to HP’s support website and download the latest camera driver.

 Check for Windows Updates

  • SettingsWindows UpdateCheck for updates.

 BIOS Check (If Needed)

  • Restart your laptop and enter BIOS (F10 on startup).
  • Look for camera settings and ensure it's enabled

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
