We have set up a Poly ATA 400 and integrated it with our Teams phone system. To this ATA, we connected a paging system (specifically, a Bouyer AR1402 and PA1050). We followed the guide found in your KB articles to use the ATA for paging; however, when we test it, the signal is not reaching the PA.

Hello @Jhun1x, Welcome to the HP Poly Support Community.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with your Poly ATA 400.

I’m sorry to hear about the difficulty you’re experiencing with the device. I understand how important it is to have your PA system working reliably, and I truly appreciate your patience while we work toward a resolution.

I kindly request you to follow the troubleshooting steps below and test the setup:

  • Check Physical Connections:
Ensure all cables between the Poly ATA 400 and your Bouyer PA system (AR1402 and PA1050) are securely connected. Please also verify that the RJ11-to-Line-Out connector is correctly used and in good condition.
  • Verify Configuration Settings:
Confirm that the Poly ATA 400 is properly configured for paging. The device should be set to off-hook mode. In the system web interface, navigate to Physical Interfaces → PHONE N Port and ensure the UseForPagingOnly option is enabled so the device can automatically answer incoming calls.
  • Validate Multicast Paging Settings:
If you are using multicast paging, please check the configuration under Service Providers → Page Groups. Ensure that parameters such as multicast address, multicast port, and Polycast group match your network configuration.
  • Adjust Volume and Gain Levels:
Review and adjust gain settings to ensure the audio signal is sufficiently strong for the PA system. This may include tuning ChannelTxGain and ChannelRxGain as needed.
  • Review Network Configuration:
Confirm that your network supports multicast (if applicable). Please verify settings such as TTL for RTP packets and ensure they align with your PA system requirements.
  • Check Device Status:
In the system web interface, navigate to Status → System Status and confirm that the device is properly SIP-registered.
  • Update Firmware:
Ensure the Poly ATA 400 is running the latest firmware. You can verify this under System Management → Device Update in the web interface.

Please let me know how it goes after completing these steps. I’ll be happy to assist you further until the issue is resolved.

Take care and have an amazing day!
