The menu control on my iPhone turns on when I receive an alert with sound and my Voyager Legend 50 is connected to my phone. What can I do? Is really annoying that I´am using my phone and suddenly the Volume bar appears on the screen

Hello @EDDY1123, Welcome to the HP Poly Support Community.

Thank you for posting in the Poly Community.

We understand how concerning it can be when the volume indicator or menu controls unexpectedly appear on your iPhone while using your Poly Voyager Legend 50.

This behavior can occur if the headset is sending unintended media or volume-control commands to the iPhone, or if there is a firmware or Bluetooth communication issue between the devices.

Please try the following:

  • Ensure your Voyager Legend 50 firmware is up to date using the Poly Studio app.
  • Disconnect and remove the headset from the iPhone's Bluetooth settings, then pair it again.
  • Test whether the issue occurs with all notification sounds or only with specific apps.
  • Check if the behavior continues when notification sounds are temporarily disabled on the iPhone.
  • If available, test the headset with another smartphone to determine whether the issue is specific to the iPhone or follows the headset.

Could you also let us know:

  • The iPhone model.
  • The iOS version installed.
  • The firmware version of the Voyager Legend 50.
  • Whether the volume bar appears only when notifications arrive or also during calls and media playback.

Have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.
