This is the third Voyager 5200 in so many months that has had issues. My older one that was still Plantronics ran for many years without issue. This unit was a replacement for the last one that had issues. I sync'd it to my Laptop and it has been fine for the last two months and yesterday it started to have poor quality and disconnecting mid call. I tried to connect it to my laptop using the Micro USB so I can use the Hub to make sure I had the latest software and if need be do a factory reset if i can. Well all I get is the connecting bing and then it disappears and tries over and over again but never gets connected and just keeps cycling and dinging. Really sad to see what once was the, "cant was kill product of a lifetime"  turn into this.

I am sorry to hear that you are facing this issue with the Poly Voyager 5200 UC. 


Could you please follow a few troubleshooting steps mentioned below and let us know if the issue persists?
1. Could you please try the headset with a different mobile phone or a PC?
2. Could you please connect the headset to the PC and check for any firmware updates and update them if there are any?
3. Could you please restore the headset settings to default on the Poly Lens application by connecting the headset to the PC? Once done, please switch off and switch on the headset again to save the changes made. 
4. Could you please confirm if the provided USB dongle is connected to the PC?

Hello Meghana_10, 

      I appreciate your attempt to help me but you are missing the point. I cannot connect to this or any other laptop with a cable or through Bluetooth. It has no audio responds when turned on (like talk time or connected status') and when connected via micro usb cable it keeps ding ding ding and then drops ding ding ding and drops. The ding ding ding of course is the Windows sound when something makes a usb connection to the laptop. But then it drops before it completes. I did have one time where it did connect as it should and the Poly lens saw it so I tried the reset to default and that just went back into the ding ding ding cycle when I turned off the headset and turned it back on as recommended by Poly lens to have changes take effect. If i was a guessing guy, it connects only when the device is almost fully dead. But the whole time the unit is not working the little LED is Blue and red blinking status. 6 blinks then resets itself. I also mentioned in the description that it was connected by the micro-USB and not connected at any time by the Dongle. An added note: I tried all the items you listed below. And I even tried a different cable.

Could you please connect the headset to the PC and disable the Poly Voyager 5200 drivers in the device manager of the PC and then switch off and switch on and reconnect the headset to the PC?
