Add RAM higher frequency

Hello. Please advise me my laptop Elitebook 840 G3 i5 only supports 2133 DDR4 RAM.

Can I buy a RAM of slightly higher frequency (2400 MHz)?

In this case, would I be able to benefit from dual channer?

Hi:

You can install a 2400 MHz memory module in your PC, but it will only run at 2133 MHz.

You benefit by dual channel only if you install memory modules of matching capacities (2 x 4 GB, 2 x 8 GB).
