HP Zbook G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, everyone!
I recently bought a laptop (Zbook G3) and installed Windows 10, but I still can't fully connect the docking station to it. Only the power supply works. I have a missing driver for "Other Devices -> Base System Device", but I can't find the right one to fix the problem.
Can you give me a hand?

You're very welcome.

Since the driver file clearly shows that is is the one you need to install that device, the only suggestion I can offer would be to manually install the driver as follows...

Go to the device manager, click on the Base System Device needing the driver.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for drivers option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp98877.

Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

If that doesn't work either, try a newer version of the driver...17.4.78.500

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp102001-102500/sp102376.exe

I checked the setup information file for this driver and it also contains driver support for the hardware ID in your first screenshot.

Hi:

You need the thunderbolt driver not the firmware...

Intel Thunderbolt 3 Secure Connect:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp98501-99000/sp98877.exe

Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the hardware ID in your screenshot...

[Manufacturer]
%Intel% = Thunderbolt,NTamd64.10.0.1

[Thunderbolt.NTamd64.10.0.1]
; DisplayName Section Device Id

%TbtBusDrv_DeviceDesc1575% = TbtBusDrv_Device, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1575&CC_0880
%TbtBusDrv_DeviceDesc1577% = TbtBusDrv_Device, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1577&CC_0880
%TbtBusDrv_DeviceDesc15BF% = TbtBusDrv_Device, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_15BF&CC_0880

Thanks for the answer, but it didn't help. I installed it and nothing has changed.

Anytime.

Glad to have been of assistance.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't have any idea how to fix the other problem you're having, so I recommend that you start a new topic regarding that issue.

Everything is fine after installation of the new version of driver, my station working. Thanks!
