Battery Health Manager set to "Maximize battery health" in BIOS

PowerShell Script confirms that setting 

PS C:\Windows\system32> Get-HPBIOSSettingValue 'battery health manager'
Maximize Battery Health
PS C:\Windows\system32>

 

The battery should charge to 80% but it is always charging to 100%. It appears that this function is not working

Hello.

 

HP Battery Health Manager has a support document detailing the battery charging behaviour:

 

"Note: When the Maximize Battery Health Management setting is selected, the Battery status icon in the Windows system tray displays 100%. The notebook battery is being limited to 80% of the design charge capacity."
